Greg Mangan - Jumper CoachGreg Mangan

Born in Limerick, Ireland, Gregory Mangan started riding at an early age and was a keen member of the Limerick Pony Club and the County Limerick Harriers Hunt. Over the years he has brought along numerous young jumpers that went on to compete on the international stage - Impulse(GB), Carnival Bouncer(USA), Glidawn Sabrina(Switz),Banbabra(IRL), Furistos Treasure(USA) and others.

Gregory jumped on Irelands Nations Cup team in the mid '90's with the super Irish bred mare Lahorna Queen (Clover Hill). Having purchased her as a three year old at the prestigious Young Irelander Finals at Millstreet Show in 1985, Mangan brought her up through the grades on the Irish National Show Jumping circuit to eventually represent Ireland at some of the top international shows (Dublin, Millstreet, Hickstead, Dusseldorf, Vienna, Calgary, Wolfsburg, Kiel, Deauville, etc.) in the world.

Big wins at Hickstead, Belfast, Deauville, Millstreet, Dublin and many Grand Prix victories on the Irish show circuit saw them represent Ireland in the Nations Cup in Calgary in 1992. They also jumped on the Irish team in Vienna and Hickstead and went on to claim many victories both at home and abroad over the next number of years.

He was a guest judge at the 100 day stallion performance test at Paxton Farms, Ohio and currently competes and coaches on the "A" Circuit and at Trillium shows.

Gregory joined the Sher-Al Team in 2010 and is available for coaching, training and clinics at Sher-Al Farm.
